A Nicer Image I've Never Seen
I lean against a tree so tall,
The sunlight washing over me,
Listening to bird calls,
As the wind greets me gently.
Standing near a field so green,
Sprinkled with clovers aplenty,
Trees around act like a screen,
Animals mingle: twenty.
I hold a flower so pretty,
Watching the petals fall,
Dying slowly, what a pity,
I think as I pick up the petals: all.
I lean on a tree,
By a field of green,
Holding a flower picked by me,
A nicer image I’ve never seen.
